Water Cycle

The Water Cycle is the continuous movement of water throughout the world. The climate and weather in your area depends greatly this cycle, it determines how much rain we get and when we get it. This is very important because we rely on rain to bring us water to drink and help our plants

Stages of the Water Cycle

  1. Water from the ocean captures the heat of the sun, causing it to evaporate.
  2. The water vapour then rises up into the atmosphere.
  3. As it rises the water vapour cools down and condenses to tiny droplets of water, which we see as clouds.
  4. Eventually enough water droplets will form rain drops or snow. Once this happens they fall back down to the earth.
  5. Once back on the ground the water goes into the earth, lakes and rivers which takes it back to the ocean.

Then the Water Cycle begins again…
